Shakespeare Should be SEEN (not read)

If I had a nickel for every time I have said this phrase, lemme tell ya... I'd have, like, a LOT of nickels!

I am so, so, so, so passionate about this - William Shakespeare was a poet and a playwright. His sonnets were written to be read and shared, sure.

But his plays?!?!?!

THE PLAYS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE WERE WRITTEN WITH THE INTENTION OF BEING SEEN IN A PERFORMANCE.

While earning my MA in Theatre Arts, I took many a seminar in Shakespeare studies - though all of these classes had a different focus, they all agreed on one thing... Shakespeare's classic works can only truly be appreciated and enjoyed by the act of viewing them.

And teaching Shakespeare to high school students for 10+ years has absolutely confirmed that.

In this video I outline my three reasons why teachers should SHOW students Shakespeare, rather than making them read it... When you're done watching, click HERE to download my 5-part high school Shakespeare unit - absolutely free!
