Making a Unit Vision Board

I have a confession to make - I LOVE MAKING "PLAN WITH ME" VIDEOS!

There is something about talking through ideas and then seeing the feedback viewers give me that really sharpens my lessons and ideas.

I mean, don't get me wrong - it can be super scary to put my raw and unfinished ideas out there, but the online teaching community I have found is so receptive, positive, and productive that I just keep doing it!

In this video I walk through the vision board I made for a new unit in the 11th grade ELA class I'll be teaching this coming school year. THIS IS VERY MUCH A WORK IN PROGRESS, but I always find it helpful to see the thought process of others, so I thought I'd go ahead and share!

Join the FREE 10-Day Unit Makeover Challenge! It is a simple process for revamping a unit, and the work is fun and energizing - I've already had so many ideas from teachers taking the challenge with us, and (as I write this) it's only Day 3!

If you haven't already listened to the Brave New Teaching Podcast, give it a listen - the episode I mention in the video is linked here.

I can't wait to see your vision boards! Make sure to tag @thecaffeinatedclass and @bravenewteaching when you share on IG, and use the hashtag #unitmakeover!
