Caffeinated Curriculum: Introducing Shakespeare

Whenever we begin a unit studying William Shakespeare in my classroom, there are some basics I make sure to cover - biographical facts about Shakespeare, a bit of historical context about Elizabethan England, and the basics of iambic pentameter. Nothing all that in-depth, just some background information so there is a foundation to build upon.

In this video, I describe how I cover the basics of Shakespeare and what I ask students to complete. Get your hands on the materials I cover in the video by clicking HERE to download my 5-part high school Shakespeare unit - absolutely free!

Check back here and on The Caffeinated Classroom's YouTube channel for more videos describing the other 4 parts of my Shakespeare unit!
